Mar 14, 2016, 07:14 AM by User Not Found

Jeri Meyers is the Senior Regional Vice President of Sales at QPS Employment Group.  In addition to overseeing the sales for Region 1 for QPS on the staffing side of the business, she also oversees the Professional Direct Hire Division companywide.  Jeri has been with QPS for 20 years and believes in what we do 110%. She truly enjoys working with all of her customers, many of which have become good friends over the years.  She also loves seeing the success of her team.  She states, “Staffing is a tough industry and being part of the successes of team members is one of the most rewarding parts of my job. I love watching my team grow professionally. I also love it when my team members are promoted.” While there are many joys to her job, there are also some challenges.  The most challenging part for her is that the “product” that QPS sells is people, who can be uncontrollable. It can be very rewarding, but also frustrating at times.

Jeri graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a Bachelor of Business in Marketing and Management. She holds a CSP (Certified Staffing Specialist) and a CPC (Certified Personnel Consultant) certification. Before joining QPS, Jeri began her career in sales for a document management company. During this experience, she learned the value of hard work and persistence and found that she really enjoyed sales.

Jeri started her journey with QPS as a Sales Rep and was very successful.  She was then promoted several times to positions with mentorship and leadership including Sales Manager, Director of Sales Development and Regional Vice President.  Additionally, her regions and business knowledge have expanded, allowing her to have reached over every facet of QPS' book of business, including the Professional, Skilled Trades, Industrial and Office divisions.

Jeri is a board member for FaB-Food and Beverage Wisconsin and ROW-Recruiters of Wisconsin.  She is also a member of ASA and NAPS.

Throughout all of Jeri’s experience she has learned many business lessons.  Some of her favorites include: Life is about change, nothing stays the same. Roll with the punches, the sky is never falling. Enjoy your job, have fun. Treat others as you would like to be treated.

Steve Siewert, Jeri’s father and best mentor, taught her to work hard. She says she always had tons of chores growing up, but had fun doing them. Jeri worked in high school and college, along with playing sports. She learned how to multi-task early on.  She says her dad taught her to have a very strong work ethic and that has taken her very far in her career with QPS.

Jeri would advise women in business to get a cleaning lady for your house, stating you just don’t have time to clean like you want to! Should also suggests taking days off to spend with your kids and enjoy every aspect of your life, personally and professionally.
