Meals to Boost Your Work Week

Energy Boosting Meals for Work Week Productivity

Mar 27, 2019

With warmer weather and longer sunny days comes a rush of things to do and get done. While trying to balance your work and the extra activities in your week, it can be hard to make sure you are eating the right way. Energy boosting meals can help you to maintain your productivity at work and help you power through the day. Kick back the sluggishness by checking out these meal and snack ideas.

Breakfast

Breakfast is an important part of starting the day off right. Eating a protein-rich breakfast fills you up and keeps you full longer. Kick-start your healthy day by trying a few of these quick breakfasts on the go:

- Greek Yogurt with Fruit

- Bagel with Avocado Slices

- Peanut Butter and Toast

- Oatmeal with Chopped Nuts

- Breakfast Smoothie with Greens and Chia Seeds

- Chia Seed Pudding with Fruit

Lunch

It can be tempting to go out for fast food or hit the vending machine for your lunch break. While this might fill you up for a bit, these foods will send you crashing as your work day goes by. Keep it light and packed with vitamins and nutrients that will boost your energy throughout the day.  Here are a few lunches that will keep you full and energized during your workday:

- Grilled Zucchini Sandwiches with Sundried Tomato Pesto

- Vegetable Hummus Wrap

- Hearty vegetable soup

- Quinoa Salad

- Bacon and Egg Salad Sandwich with greens

Dinner

After coming home from work the last thing you want to do is to make a huge mess in the kitchen, but there are perks to a home cooked meal after a long stressful day. Energy boosted dinners are perfect to keep you from snacking all night causing you to be more sluggish when the next day starts. Try a few of these home-cooked meals that will keep you full all night:

- Simple Chicken Casserole

- Fish Tacos

- White Chicken Chili

- Vegetable Stir-Fry with Tofu and Quinoa

- Red Lentil Curry

Snacks

If you find yourself needing a snack between meals don’t be tempted by the office vending machine or that leftover birthday cake. Veggies and hummus, almonds, or even popcorn can keep the munchies away.

With so many great options out there, it has never been easier to mix up your meals and still get all the energy and nutrients you need.
