Position Title: Product Finishing Technician
Take the next step in your career with this temp to hire opportunity for a Product Finishing Technician at a company that is a global leader in innovative solutions and technical support in Fitchburg, WI. Seeking a Technician that will use technical concepts and depth of knowledge to resolve issues effectively. The Technician will be responsible for fully understanding the department, including dispensing, kitting, and labels.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Setup, operate, and maintain manual and automated dispensing, capping, and labeling equipment- Pull products from inventory and assemble components into kits and kit sub-assemblies using quality system documents- Accurately complete all required written documentation for batch records- Maintain and close shop orders in the company’s ERP System- Address product non-conformity appropriately- Follow contamination prevention procedures- Understand and comply with ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements applicable to the business- Work in a team to prevent backorders and minimize the duration of backorders- Provide a high level of both intradepartmental and interdepartmental customer service- Clean production areas and equipment- Assist R&D in the dispensing of new products for validation prior to new product launch
Requirements:- High school education or equivalent- Minimum 1 year of science or laboratory background in a production environment with exposure to various production and packaging equipment preferred- Experience in a regulated production environment preferred- Ability to work quickly and accurately- Competency in general math- Computer experience in ERP System, word, excel, outlook- Good organizational and prioritization skills- High level of attention to detail- Ability to work in a clean room environment- Ability to use computer and telephone equipment- Manual dexterity to assemble kits and dispense product- Ability to stand for several hours at a time- Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50-70 lbs. occasionally- Ability to move up to 300 lbs. on a dolly and 500 lbs. on a pallet jack occasionally- Ability to stand and/or sit for several hours at a time- Ability to bend multiple times per day- Ability to use hands for repetitive motions throughout shift- Visual acuity for quality inspections- Ability to work in -20 degrees C temperature occasionally

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Assist in the production of quality graphic reproduction projects for custom and catalog orders- Ensure finished work is completed on time and meets FCI safety and quality standards- Mount and trim laminated graphics- Apply graphics using proper measurement and alignment- Uses Flexi-Sign program to set up and cut jobs in coordination with supervisor- Laminate printed graphics- Produce quality graphic products based on given specifications- Calibrate printer output and create color swatches for approval- Sets up digital files for output- Train and mentor co-workers- Establish production schedules- Maintain inventory control of vinyl and other production tools and supplies- Organize graphic production inventory shelves for identification of material shortages- Assist other graphic production staff on finishing graphics
Requirements:- High School Diploma- Technical training in printing or graphic design desired- At least two years of experience in graphics or sign production- Previous experience operating common print machines including laminators and trimmers- Proficient in standard graphics production software including Adobe Illustrator and Flexi-Sign- Knowledge of Microsoft Office- Able to lift up to 50lbs- Good time management skills - Strong attention to detail and accuracy
