Position Title: Quality Control Technician
Shift: 1st, 2nd
Hours: 5am-1:30pm, 1:30pm-10pm

Their goal is to reduce waste by providing environmentally sustainable packaging to provide a greater visibility for organic soup products. As a quality control technician your main responsibilities would include pre-production inspection of production equipment, daily scale checks and setting scales for accurate product weights.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Pre-production inspection of production equipment- Daily scale checks and set scales for accurate product weights- Daily X-ray checks- Review QC records for errors- Help with initial product set-up on R-2- Setup and input date code requirements per product specification- Measure and monitor temperature, weight, moisture, pH, particle size, salt, metal detection and other quality checkpoints on a scheduled and as needed basis- Perform Hermetic seal testing; perform visual inspection, conductivity test and seal to ensure safety of the product- Communicate with QA Administrator, Production leads, Shift Supervisors and Management about on--line quality issues- Documents records of all tests performed during the production run- Communicate needed corrections, major defects and potential and actual need for line to shut down to appropriate management personnel- Stop production if product coming down the line is not to the specification, missing the ingredient or for any other reason he/she feels that product quality and/or safety is not met; notify QA Administrator and Production Supervisor- Print daily QC records- Clean QC station

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Load pieces of cut lumber into crates- Band the cut lumber into bundles- Drill screws into lumber pieces to assemble picnic tables or benches- Operate nail gun to assist in the assembly of fences- Operate label gun to tag each piece of lumber with identification- Operate pallet jack to move pallets of wood around the production area- Examine finished product to verify conformance to quality standards

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Get production papers for next day production- Do inventory when needed- Get ingredients for the next day production- Make sure ingredients are used and rotated using first in/first out system- Complete batching paperwork ensuring lot numbers and item numbers are correct- Conduct batching sanitation report and file report to supervisor- Fill out discard sheets and file with supervisor- Clean and inspect the batching room after batching the soup- Return ingredients to proper location
