Position Title: Quality Inspector
Hours: 3:15pm-1:15am (Tues-Friday, OT Saturdays)

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Inspect samples per documented specifications- Record inspection results- Coordinate the flow of inspection samples based on priority- Analyze data to determine trends in inspection history- Identify appropriate gauging needed to measure engineering drawing requirements- Visually identify inspection sample status- Assist in cost reduction opportunities and design change suggestions- Identify and contain nonconforming material- Create and communicate Nonconforming Material Reports- Identify Corrective Action Opportunities (CAR)- Identify and communicate Engineering Change Request (ECR) opportunities- Support Gauge R&R studies- Support employee quality training programs and communications
Requirements:- Strong analytical and problem solving skills- Effective verbal and written communication skills- Ability to train others and modify training to accommodate learning preferences- Demonstrated ability to interpret drawing specifications- Demonstrated use of GD&T principles- Experience with Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)- Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite- Ability to use the following equipment effectively: caliper, micrometer, ring/plug gauge, thread gauge, bore gauge, profilometer, height gauge, pin gauge, hardness tester, durometer gauge and air gauge; optical comparator, spectrophotometer, material analyzer, force gauge and Programmable height gauge

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Follow Standard Process Instructions (SPI), work instructions, and operating procedures to ensure that parts are produced/processed to required specifications- Initial inspection to be finally inspected prior to shipment by company personnel for defects or imperfections- Verify weights and measurements of parts- Record data into computer systems- Sort parts into bins that are needed- Load and unload parts at presses, furnaces, and deburring units- Coin and dip parts to prevent parts from rusting in rust preventative liquid- Package parts per specifications- Adhere to all safety procedures- Maintain a clean and tidy work environment- Complete training requirements as specified within the levels program
Requirements:- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.- Must have specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus- Must be able to work in moderately hot conditions (75-95 degrees)- Ability to write simple correspondence and communicate effectively- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers and decimals- Ability to learn basic statistical process control techniques, use micrometers, calipers and other gauges to collect data- Ability to safely work around moving mechanical parts on an occasional basis- Ability to work in an environment with moderate noise level
