Position Title: Machine Operator
Wage: $12.00-$14.00 per hour
QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Machine Operator at a company in Davenport, IA. This is a temp to hire position at a brand new, state of the art facility that just opened a new expansion. Excellent long-term potential with advancement opportunities.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Production of parts and tools by use of CNC machines. - Following customer and company "in-process inspections".- Properly measuring final product using calipers, micrometers, and other quality assurance devices.- Minimizing scrap parts/materials. - Meeting production goals/quotas. - Cleaning the machine and surrounding area.
Requirements:- Must be able to lift up to 30lbs. - Must have excellent hand-eye coordination. - Must be able to stand throughout entire shift.- Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required. - Ability to read & interpret calipers & micrometers a plus. - Must be able to read and understand English.
Position Title: Utility
Wage: $10.00-$11.00 per hour
Shift: 1st and 3rd
Hours: 4:00am-2:00pm; 2:00pm-12:00am

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Utility employees are responsible for doing various operations throughout the facility.- Load and unload copper on payouts if to heavy using hoist. - Client training provided - Produce copper tubing to length designated. - Fold and staple boxes in accordance with customer specifications. - Insulate large coils of coper to customer specification. - Using wire cutters cut wire in accordance with wire meter and stage. - Handle insulated copper coils and use the flare machines to flare each end of the Line Set Assembly.- Read copper labeling to identify various copper sizes. - Load copper coils on payouts for multiple lines in a way as to not damage the copper and cause disruptions on the suction lines. - Produce quality bends using a power bend tool. - Tape and assemble line sets as specified by the customers prior to packaging. - Assemble, tape, pack, and stack boxes on pallets-- may need to use box cutter.
Requirements:- High School Diploma or GED. - Production experience preferred.- Flexible and adaptable to changing production demands and needs. - Function as a team member with all other personnel in the assigned department. - Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. - Required to stand, walk, and sit throughout shift. - Occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
Position Title: Control Panel Assembler
Wage: $12.00-$13.00 per hour

Position Title: Welder
Wage: $15.00-$20.00 per hour
Shift: 1st, 2nd, 3rd
Hours: 7:00am-3:00pm; 2:00pm-11:00pm; 10:00pm-7:00am

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.- Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to welding, using straightedges, squares, clamps and fixtures.- Receive instructions, blue prints, and work orders for the job.- Examine work to check for defects.- Record materials used and time spent on job.- Stick and wire weld pieces to form product being manufactured.- Work with the other cells to accomplish orders.- Analyze work orders, specifications and blue prints to determine materials to be used, project planning, layout and assembly sequence.- Welds component parts to the vessel.- Tack welds heads and rings to bottles.- May cut stainless steel wrap using a plasma torch.- Assembles, tacks and welds parts such as suspensions, landing gear, jacket heads and other fabricated parts to the tank bottles according to engineering specifications.- Lay-out and weld manholes, pods, clean-outs, heat panels and other parts on tank.- Completes assigned duties in accordance with safety policies and practices.
Requirements:- High School Diploma or equivalent.- Must be able to read and understand English.
