Position Title: Administrative Assistant
Wage: Based on Experience
QPS Employment Group has several great opportunities available for an Administrative Assistant at companies in Burlington, IA and Fort Madison, IA. This is a temp to hire position for 1st shift!
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Manage and maintain executives' schedules. - Prepare invoices, reports, memos, letters, financial statements and other documents, using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software. - Read and analyze incoming memos, submissions, and reports to determine their significance and plan their distribution. - Open, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes and email. - File and retrieve corporate documents, records, and reports. - Greet visitors.- Prepare responses to correspondence containing routine inquiries. - Perform general office duties such as ordering supplies, maintaining records management systems, and performing basic bookkeeping work. - Prepare agendas and make arrangements for committee, board, and other meetings. - Make travel arrangements for executives.
Requirements:- High school diploma or equivalent.- At least 6 months of previous Administrative Assistant experience.- Solid work history and a strong attention to detail.- Must pass QPS’ screening process.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.- Must be reliable and responsible.

Position Title: Maintenance
Wage: $17.10 + per hour

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Perform preventative maintenance tasks to inspect, observe, lubricate, adjust, and analyze equipment operation for needed repair or replacement. - Installing, transferring, moving, setting up, operating, and testing machines. - Troubleshoot equipment using: audible, visual, measuring and testing instrumentation. - Maintaining accurate and timely records of work performed on work orders, maintenance calls, and preventative maintenance reports.- Follow company policies and OSHA regulations to ensure safe work habits and conditions for all employees.- Responsible for keeping the work area clean and following housekeeping and sanitation practices. Position Title: Press Assistant
Wage: $9.50 + per hour based on experience
Hours: 8 hours

They specialize in producing miniature bar soap wrappers, soap cartons, labels and liquid packets for the hospitality industry, but they are currently growing into commercial printing from newsletters and notepads to catalogs and stickers. This small, but mighty company of almost 100 employees prides themselves on their quality of work that ensures deadlines are met with every customer no matter the size of the order.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Supply pressman with chemical and ink supplies.- Inform ink room of any ink mixing needs. - Return supplies after pressman are done with job. - Keep area CLEAN. - Fill chemicals. Be sure to follow all safety precautions. - Dispose of chemicals. - Do quality testing as needed on presses. - Assist operator with wash ups. - All designated paperwork done accurately and completely. - Mix ink and adjust as needed. - PM'ing assigned parts of each press. - Miscellaneous work as assigned by Team Leader or by Press Operators.- All duties pertaining to presses: materials, wash-ups, etc. - Clean plates and return to pressroom when finished. Requirements:- Must be able to regularly lift up to 50lbs. - Must be able to pass QPS Screening Process (Drug screen, client specific paperwork, and online safety training).- Must be able to stand for 8 hours. - Requires organizational and general math skills, along with the ability to follow SOP's. - High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Keep press area clean. - Assist operators with wash up. - Pick up die cut cartons off the conveyor belt.- Sort die cut cartons for quality. - Pack die cut cartons into boxes at quick pace. - Close boxes once they are full and place on pallet. Requirements:- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. - Must be able to do repetitive hand-eye work. - Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures. - High School Diploma or GED. - Must be able to pass QPS screening process.
