Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Keep all areas of machine clean and organized - Read and understand production orders to set-up machines correctly - Examine completed work pieces for defects, such as chipped edges or marred surfaces and sort defective pieces according to types of flaws - Ensure packaging of finished goods per customer specification - Position guides, stops, holding blocks, or other fixtures to secure and direct work pieces, using hand tools and measuring devices - Construct pallets to specs given on the work order; require the use of an air powered nail gun- Stack finished product on pallet as directed - Examine work area at beginning and ending of each shift and during any machine changeover for safety and proper operations - Safely and efficiently prepare material for shipping; includes proper identification, tagging, and wrapping - Stack product onto pallets or into boxes

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Setup bundle breaker, lay boy, shrink tunnel, load former, prefeeder, print, and die cut sections in accordance to proper setup techniques - Inspect annilox rolls for damage, before and after each runner - Inspect all dies and plates before and after run to ensure that any necessary repairs are made before the next run - Monitor box quality, including but not limited to loose liner, wrap, correct size and print - Maximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed - Switch duties with operator to promote training and promotable opportunities - Assist operator with job duties on the machine once Lockout/Tag out training has been completed - Enter information into computers to set machine for order changes, scores, speed, stack height, sheet count, and number of outs; verify accuracy of information in computer - Execute order changes - Cross check board being produced with the corrugator dry end lineup or order scheduling computer display to ensure it is the proper board test, size, scores are properly positioned and have the correct depth, color, and coating - Visually observe and physically check board for quality, including but not limited cracked scores, cut liner or medium, loose edges or liner, oil, blisters, wrinkles, wash board, warp, clean slits, proper score depth, and appearance; perform soak tests as needed - Set slitter to bring up the next run as necessary to avoid overruns or underruns - Set-up tear-tape machine and preprint as needed - Communicate messages to the wet end regarding necessary adjustments - Clear jams safely and assist in correcting other problems - Secure proper cover sheets, tie sheets, and load tags for production runs - Stack finished boxes in accordance with factory master and ensure correct bundle and unit counts- Monitor quality of boxes and report quality problems to operator - Assist operator and first helper as necessary - Complete necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner - Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs
