A Path To A Career 

At QPS we have numerous stories of employees starting in one job, but later working their way into other roles and promotions as they gain knowledge and experience. Some long term employees had originally started in a front desk role, some in recruiting, while others in a corporate role.  Here are some of our current employees and how their QPS career has unfolded.        

Dave Elliott - Director of Corporate Projects

Class of 1994

Looking for a career in 1994, this young man unknowingly found his forever home with QPS starting as a Recruiter. With this start as a recruiter he grew with the company to a Branch Manager. Then in 2000 he decided it was time for a change and moved into an IT role similar to what is the helpdesk we know of today. Six years later he moved into an HR/training role, after a year he then moved into an Organizational development role, then back into IT as the IT Manager. When Corporate moved to Patrick Blvd in Brookfield he was the Director of the IT and Marketing teams. Mark Milan - Marketing Manager

Class of 1995

Mark started his career at QPS in 1995 as an on-site recruiter. After 2 years he was promoted to Assistant Manager of our Milwaukee office and a year after that Branch Manager. After 12 years in branch operations he took a position at our corporate office as the Training and Development Manager. Then in 2015 a position opened up leading the Marketing Department with a team of 11 employees.  "QPS has given me the opportunity to learn and develop into new roles. Each move has given me the opportunity to build upon my past experiences while still working with the same family of people." Brian Blaney - Accounting Operations Manager

Class of 1997

In 1997 he got his in with QPS as a recruiter, a year later he was given the opportunity to move into the accounting department as the Account Receivable  Manager. As the company grew in size so did his knowledge of accounting in his new role. Fast forward to 2009 when he started to manage the payroll team along with his other duties which lead to his next promotion in 2010 to the Accounting Operations Manager. Paul Basquez - Learning and Development Manager

Class of 2008
Starting out as a recruiter is a great way to learn the business at QPS and allows for growth opportunity. This employee is a great example of this growth. He started as a recruiter in 2008 and as the company grew so did he. From a recruiter to a Lead Recruiter and then an Assistant Branch Manager. Learning and mastering these roles he then moved into a Corporate Trainer position where he found his current home with the company.  Over time, he grew his role and the training provided to our employees. Travis Hornberg - Rideshare Manager

Class of 2012

When USA Staffing was acquired by QPS, one employee took the opportunity to move from his role as a recruiter and grow with QPS. Shortly after becoming a QPSer' he became a corporate trainer located in our Iowa market, then a branch manager. After only a few years with QPS he moved into a new role as the Ride Share Manager and has driven this new area of the company to 36 vans throughout the company. To ask Travis more questions about his role, you can reach him at thornberg@qpsemployment.com.

 

Ashley Igo - Regional Marketing Coordinator

Class of 2015

With only three years with the company, a strong drive to succeed and the support of her manager, this employee was able to grow into a Regional Marketing Specialist position. She started as a Recruiter and developed a rapport with one of our clients which lead to her next role as an onsite with them. She rocked this role until a position open up as a regional marketing coordinator.
