Position Title: Machine Operator – 2nd Shift

Wage: $18.00/hour

Shift: 2nd

Hours: 1:00pm – 9:00pm

Machine Operator Responsibilities:
- Operate fabricating machines such as cutoff saw, roll / brake press, forming machine, spinning machine and punch press to cut, bend and shape steel
- Analyze work orders and read blueprints to determine information such as material to be used and types and sequence of operations to be used for fabrication
- Report accurate quantities, materials used and time
- Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements
- Push buttons or pedals to activate machine
- Observe machine operation
- Measure work piece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation
- Remove burrs, sharp edges, rust or scale from work piece
- Perform machine maintenance such as oiling machine, dies or work pieces when needed
- Stack, mark, pack and transport finished work pieces

Requirements for Machine Operator:
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least one month of related experience and/or training
