Position Title: Material Handler - 1st Shift

Wage: $16/hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 6am-2:30pm

Material Handler responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Follow daily schedule of work orders
- Select correct material type, stock size and dimensions
- Load materials into vehicles and install strapping, bracing or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit
- Rig and load steel products as required with overhead cranes and/or forklift
- Sort and move materials to specific areas
- Load customer calls
- Chain and tarp loads
- Clean flame cut parts using hand chippers and grinders
- Operate part tumbler for smaller parts
- Operate forklift/fork truck to stage tubs or pallets
- Operate overhead crane or jib crane
- Package finished parts and apply shipping labels
- Inspect finished parts

Requirements for Material Handler:
- Factory or assembly experience preferred
- Stand or walk for duration of shift
- Lift up to 60lbs
- Twist, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach throughout shift
- Work overtime as needed
- Use basic power and hand tools
- Read ruler and measuring tape
- Work in hot and humid conditions
- Basic computer skills
