Position Title: Human Resources Generalist

Wage: $16.00-$20.00 per hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm  

Our client is a privately-owned manufacturer of plastic bottles and containers. Founded in 1989, they have four custom blow molding plants located in Sand Springs, OK, Pleasant Prairie, WI, Hagerstown, MD, and North Las Vegas, NV. Parker Plastics is looking to hire a HR Generalist to join our growing company and lead overall operations in our Maryland plant. Why Our Client?

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist with recruiting and staffing logistics.
- Assist with employee orientation, development and training logistics and recordkeeping.
- Assisting with employee relations.
- Assist with company employee communication.
- Obtains appropriate consent form for post-offer drug testing; arranges for testing and ensures negative results are received before applicant begins work.
- Assists with new hire requirements, i.e., personnel forms, assigning employee numbers, and issuing employee badges.
- Provides appropriate information regarding work schedule, pay schedule, orientation period, reviews employee handbook, and safety program (or refers employee to appropriate person).
- Assists with setting up and maintaining facility personnel record files. Assists with ensuring all originals and/or copies of all employees are filed/maintained and/or sent to appropriate corporate personnel (if necessary).
- General knowledge of various employment laws and practices.
- Experience in administration of benefits and other HR programs.
- Skills in database management and record keeping.

Requirements:
- Degree in a business-related field and/or experience in a supporting Human Resource role for a minimum of five years.
- A minimum of one to two years in a manufacturing environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A demonstrated ability to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions in the English language.
- Proficiency in MS Office, ERP, and other database systems.
- Experience with employee relations and discipline processes.
-Some travel required. Must be able to fly or drive for extended periods of time.
