Position Title: CNC Machinist - 1st Shift

Wage: $17-$20/hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 7am-3:30pm

CNC Machinist responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Read and interpret blueprints, planning sheets, sketches, and related technical data to determine tooling requirements, setup procedures, control settings, and machining methods and sequences
- Mount, align, and secure tooling, attachments, and work piece on machine
- Upload and download program
- Calculate and set machine controls to position spindle in relationship to work piece and to regulate factors such as cutting depth, speed, feed, and coolant flow
- Start machine and monitor displays and machine operation to detect malfunctions
- Stop machine to change cutting tools and setup according to required machining sequence or to measure parts for conformance to blueprint specifications
- Enter commands or manually adjust machine controls to correct malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining
- Operate machine manually to perform no automated functions and when automatic programming is faulty or machine malfunctions
- Discuss control media errors with LOPL or programming personnel to resolve problems
- Inspect first run piece and spot check succeeding pieces for conformance to specifications
- Inspect and change tooling as required for continuous operation of machine
- Identify problems and work out solutions

CNC Machinist requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years of experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment
- 1 year of CNC experience; 2 years preferred
- 1 year of experience reading micrometers and other precision measuring instruments; 2 years preferred
- Ability to perform repetitive lifting up to 50lbs
- Stand for long periods of time
