Position Title: Packaging/Machine Operator – 1st + 2nd Shift

Wage: $19.00 + per hour

Shift: 1st, 2nd

A busy and well-established cheese manufacturing facility in Monroe, WI is seeking candidates for their 1st and 2nd shifts. This is a full-time with over time opportunity with a lot of opportunities for growth and development. In this role you will be packaging cheese and will do machine operation and have exposure to working with the sanitation team.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Preparing supplies and labels.
- Take cheese from totes and place on conveyor.
- Cut and place cheese into containers.
- Utilizing overhead crane to move cheese from one area to the next.
- Fill cartons of cheese with packaged product.
- Sanitation duties: assemble/disassemble equipment, bending to clean undersides of equipment.
- Place loaves of cheese onto cheese racks.
- Machine Operation: assist in monitoring the progress of the cheese, listen for any malfunctions.
- Move racks of cheese.
- Remove loaves of cheese from cheese racks.
- Stack cartons of finished cheese onto pallet.
- Stack loaves of cheese into totes.
- QA checks done by water test.
- Seal cheese loaves on Cryovac machine.
- Clean equipment and pack room at the end of daily production run.’

Requirements:
- Minimum 40 work hours expected per week during company operating hours, weekend work will be required.
- Expected to adhere to all company policies.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- The physical plant environment is clean but sometimes cool/warm, wet, and moderately noisy.
- Must maintain a high degree of personal hygiene.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with fellow employees and management.
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of job as described in this document.
- Must be able to read, understand and carryout written procedures.
- Must be honest and dependable.
- Candidate must be a team worker.
- HS diploma or equivalent is desired but, not required.
- Food plant experience helpful.
- Ability to learn many jobs and to be flexible with duties and schedules.
