Position Title: Material Handler - 2nd Shift

Wage: $18/hour

Shift: 2nd

Hours: 2pm-10:30pm

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Follow daily schedule of work orders as assigned by the supervisor
- Select correct material type, stock size, and dimensions
- Load materials into vehicles and install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit
- Ensure safely and securely rigging and loading steel products as required with overhead cranes and/or forklift
- Sort and move materials to specific areas as required
- Load customer calls
- Chain and tarp loads
- Clean flame cut parts using hand chippers and hand grinders
- Operate a part tumbler for smaller parts
- Operate a forklift/fork truck to stage tubs or pallets
- Operate overhead crane or jib crane
- Package finished parts in tubs or on pallets and apply shipping labels
- Inspect finished parts to ensure conformance with quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements:
- Factory/assembly experience preferred
- 8+ hours of standing and walking per day on uneven or elevated walking surfaces
- Lift, push, pull or carry up to 50lbs
- Able to reach forward, grasp and lift
- Able to twist, bend, stoop, and crouch
- Work a 40-hour work week and overtime when needed
- Ability to use basic power and hand tools
- Able to climb and dismount flatbed trailers
- Able to read ruler/measuring tape
- Ability to operate a computer (basic skills) and a variety of small hand tools
- Work in hot and humid work conditions
- Work in dusty and moderate to loud environment
- Follow all established safety rules and procedures
