Position Title: Packaging – 1st Shift

Wage: $15.00 per hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 7:00am-3:00pm

Do you like cheese? If so, come work with us at a well-known cheese factory where you will inspect, package and sticker cheese of all forms.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Area, equipment and personal sanitation.
- Weigh cheese when applicable.
- Inspect/clean cheese - Bulk pieces of cheese will need to have mold scrapped off of or cut into smaller pieces.
- Keep line stocked with product to assure no down time.
- Review order specifications to perform quality checks against customer orders.
- Place and inspect labels on blocks of cheese as they are packaged.
- Package cheese after inspection.

Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 55lbs. of cheese repetitively.
- Repetitive work in fast paced environment with average temperature of 50-60 degrees.
- Ability to frequently handle material from floor-to-waist, waist-to-shoulder, shoulder-to-overhead and pushing/pulling/carrying.
- Ability to constantly stand/walk; bend/flex/extend/twist neck and back; frequently grip/reach/lift/pull with L/R hands.
- Basic understand of manufacturing processes and related equipment.
- Repetitive work.
- Ability to make minor decisions based on standard practices.
- Ability to read prepare and comprehend production reports and worksheets.
- Ability to communicate with line personnel regarding information contained therein, and regarding quality and safety issues.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
- Ability to read and understand English.
- Working around multiple spices.
- Ability to work overtime with little or no notice.
- Must follow all GMP rules.
