Position Title: Welder – 1st or 3rd Shift

Wage: $18.00-$20.00 + per hour

Shift: 1st, 3rd

Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm; 8:00pm-6:30am (Mon-Thurs)

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Positioning and clamping together components of fabricated metal products before welding.
- Welding parts together to fabricate or repair playground equipment, machine parts or plant equipment.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints to ensure quality product.
- Performing thermal cutting and grinding and other activities requiring the use of pneumatic hand tools.
- Repairing broken or cracked parts, fills holes, and increases size of metal parts by standard welding practices.
- Identifying any non-conformity to print specifications through required inspection procedures.

Requirements:
- Required to stand, walk throughout shift.
- Frequently use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
- Regularly lift and or move up to 75 pounds and occasionally move up to 100 pounds.
- Specific experience with wire welding preferred (MIG welding).
- Able to read blueprints and schematics.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic to Intermediate math skills - ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Must be able to read, write and speak simple sentences, instructions and correspondence.
- Strong attention to detail and team player.
- Eager to learn.
