Position Title: Laser Machine Operator – 1st Shift

Wage: $18.00/hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 4:00am or 6:00am – 2:00pm (Monday – Thursday), 4:00am – 12:00pm (Friday)

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Set up and operate laser
- Load and unload material
- Change screens and nozzles
- Read part drawings, blueprints and work instructions to ensure parts are cut to customer specifications
- Modify cut conditions, speeds, feeds and focus to ensure quality cut, optimal machine operation and efficiency with both oxygen and nitrogen
- Measure and inspect dimensions of in-process and finished product using precision measuring instruments
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Clean machines, tooling and parts

Requirements for Laser Machine Operator:
- At least one year of laser operation and set up experience
- Knowledge of cutting steel and stainless steel
- Knowledge of cutting with oxygen and nitrogen gases
- Good problem solving skills
- Able to work independently
- Proficient math and computer skills
- Able to read blueprints, work instructions and part numbers.
- Able to use inspection equipment (calipers, gauges, protractors, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills.
