Position Title: Machine Operator
Shift: 1st, 2nd
Hours: 5am-3pm, 4pm-2am

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Operate equipment for highly repetitive and/or standardized work, which form wire pieces into predetermined shapes- Safely operate equipment, completing single piece operation with precision; pick and place various wire parts into and out of machine while meeting production rates- Perform a visual check on completed parts and check parts using proper gauges and samples, ensure they are within the customers’ specifications, and document these checks on the job card- Produce accurate product quantities by using the counter- Maintain minimum operating rate- Maintain a clean and safe work area around machines- Turn the machine on and off (using adjustable safety die block) when needed- Move finished product bins if necessary- Stack wire parts when required- Monitor quantities during an order to properly split orders as needed- Layer parts with paper or cardboard and label with cards at every shift change- Follow ISO procedures and work instructions
Requirements:- Work 100% of the time in a manufacturing setting near mechanical moving parts, sitting, standing, or walking - Withstand frequent repetition of fingers, hand, wrists, and shoulders - Bend and lift wire parts from bins (between floor and waist height); bins are placed adjacent to workstation, individual parts placed in the machine weigh up to 10lbs, occasionally lift bulk parts weighing up to 50lbs or more from bin to worktable- Able to read gauges and use measuring equipment - Blueprint reading capabilities as desired- Potential for irregular work schedules, including overtime due to manufacturing fluctuating needs - Follow all established safety rules and procedures - Work in loud environment - Work in a dirty and oily environment
