Position Title: Assembly
Wage: $14.40/hour, $14.50/hour
Shift: 2nd, 3rd
Hours: 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am
Do you or someone you know enjoys designing automotive and off-highway equipment? Are you someone who likes working with your hands and have the ability to follow instructions? This is a position for you! We're hiring for an Assembler on 2nd or 3rd shift. Temp to hire.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Execute Standard Operator Procedures per training- Utilize manufacturing equipment automated and manual along with work instructions to properly assemble components through multiple steps of the process- Understand how and when to use the correct assembly tools- Perform self-inspection on his/her assembly work- Perform data entry of pertinent information into assembly traceability logs, statistical process control forms, or preventive maintenance logs as required- May be required to perform basic material handling, preparation of final product to include forklift operation- Conduct line change overs- Use enterprise system to locate and interpret component availability and location; verify component conformance- Report labor through visual inspections, gauging as required and functional test- Accurately complete shortage tickets, rework logs, production cards, and any other standard manufacturing-based documentation- Appropriately dispose of chemicals and any hazardous wastes- Support the training effort of new hires and or intermediate training- Understanding of contamination controls- Interpret and understand Plant Operation Procedures, TS/ISO requirements, and operator work instructions- Exhibit initiative and accountability with regards to company's TS/ISO quality standards
Requirements:- Ability to learn and understand basic hydraulics and general blueprint reading and process sheets- Ability to use basic hand tools and torque equipment- Ability to learn Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools- Effective verbal communication skills with positive attitude- Dependable, exhibit initiative, accountability and maximizes use of time- Use judgment and independent thinking to ensure safe, accurate completion of assignments while meeting quality standards- Accurate data entry abilities- Ability to obtain fork-lift training if necessary
