Position Title: CNC Programmer

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and specifications to determine machine setup, type of material or part, quantity and finish dimensions- Understand program language to identify possible errors and edit as required to improve finish requirements- Write and edit programs- Set up, operate and develop new product on CNC machining centers- Assist engineering in the implementation, creation, and maintenance of process controlsheets- Define machine variables/parameters- Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving and cutting, including turning, facing,knurling and thread chasing operations- Install and align machine accessories such as cutting tools, work positioner, plates, fixtures, andshields- Make necessary offsets to maintain print/sketch tolerances- Measure dimensions of finished part, using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipersand dial indicators- Trim, sand and drill parts - Document actions by completing production and quality logs
Requirements:- High School Diploma or GED- CNC machine tool schooling or relevant experience- At least five years of proven experience in setting up and operating CNC machine tools- Experience in programming with G code- Forklift experience- Able to read and understand blueprint requirement- Able to interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)
