Position Title: Team Lead - Shift Supervisor

Are you ready to be a leader of a team in a leading manufacturer in Burlington, Iowa? Then this position is for you! Established in 1952, this company has continued to grow in the printing industry. They specialize in producing miniature bar soap wrappers, soap cartons, labels and liquid packets for the hospitality industry, but they are currently growing into commercial printing from newsletters and notepads to catalogs and stickers. This small, but mighty company of almost 100 employees prides themselves on their quality of work that ensures deadlines are met with every customer no matter the size of the order.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Work assigned schedule, including weekends and coverage for other leaders as deemed necessary, to provide leadership coverage to the plant as necessary.- Use quality tools in analysis of product.- Follow all quality standards and hold team members accountable to the SOPs.- Identify, address and correct any concerns.- Review documents and standards and provide updates as necessary.- Accurately and effectively communicate with team members and leadership.- Maintaining and keeping a safe work environment.- Actively recruiting, hiring and training for open positions.- Providing feedback and coaching team members.- Regular tracking and reporting related to Safety, Quality, Production, etc.- Team member training, evaluations, payroll, corrective action, etc.- Other duties as deemed necessary.
Requirements:- 5 years of supervisors experience (in a manufacturing environment preferred).- Eye for detail and quality consistency.- Initiative, drive and focus to work with teams to get work completed in timely manner.- Strong professional communication skills.- Ability to be firm with decisions and directions.- Honesty and integrity with team members and leadership.- Computer and Microsoft Office aptitude.- Ability to multi-task.- Technical and mechanical abilities and understanding.- Capable of understanding, mentoring and coaching team members through production and personal issues as they arise.
