QPS Employment Group has partnered with National Bakery to distribute 9000 cookies to their clients across the Midwest!
In 1985 when Scott Mayer started QPS, he hand-delivered a few pumpkin pies to his handful of clients. Over the next 34 years, that tradition continued. Through rain, sleet and snow, QPS would hand out thousands of pies to their customers to spread thankfulness and gratitude.
Fast forward to 2020, the year of the pandemic. QPS knew that many of our clients would put the pies in the breakroom to share, and we wanted to do something that was more sanitary and individually wrapped. We’ve worked with National Bakery in the past and knew that they would be able to help us. QPS has ordered 9000 cookies, which is the largest order that National Bakery has had this year.
“We thought it was extremely important to support small businesses and we are thrilled to be able to give them a ‘shot in the arm’ with this order,” according to Ryan Festerling, president and chief operating officer at QPS. “We know that our typical Thanksgiving gift looks a little different this year, but we wanted to safely recognize the holiday. The spirit in which they are given is still the same,” Festerling states.
National Bakery will be working all week to bake, decorate and individually wrap the treats for QPS this week, a task that has kept the family business working round the clock. “Large orders like this have been rare for us this year,” states Bryant Krauss, owner of National Bakery. “We were so happy when QPS placed the order.”
“Who doesn’t like seeing a delicious treat show up unexpectedly during the day?” Festerling added. “We just want to bring a little joy to our customers in what has been a challenging year for us all, and pass along that joy safely.”
QPS will be picking up the cookies on Friday, November 6th at 7am at the National Bakery Brookfield location.
