MMAC President Tim Sheehy Joins QPS Employment Group’s Board of Directors Following Recently Created ESOP

QPS Employment Group has created a newly formed board of directors following their ESOP announcement last year. The most recent addition, Tim Sheehy, is a face familiar to the Milwaukee business community. Sheehy is president of the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce (MMAC). The MMAC serves as an advocate for member businesses, which employ more than 300,000 people in the greater Milwaukee area.

“We are so pleased that Tim has agreed to join our board of directors,” added Scott A. Mayer, chairman and CEO of QPS. “Tim, like QPS, has a passion for supporting businesses as well as seeing the community thrive when those business succeed. We feel that Tim’s knowledge of local business, his connections in the community and his ability to provide innovative solutions to complex issues makes him a great fit for our organization.”

Founder Scott A. Mayer and co-owner Dan McNulty sold their interests in the company in 2021 in the form of an Employee Stock Ownership Program. The plan in essence gives ownership shares to the 380 current and future internal employees across QPS.

“With the new ESOP ownership structure, we found it important to surround ourselves with individuals who knew our business but had different points of view who could ultimately contribute to making us an even better organization for our new employee owners,” commented Ryan Festerling, president of QPS.
Sheehy also serves as chairman of the Milwaukee Economic Development Corporation, the Southeast Wisconsin Baseball Park District Board, and Techstar Holdings Inc. He also serves on the board of directors for State of Wisconsin Investment Board, and Summerfest. In addition, he is a board member Rocketship Charter Schools, Milwaukee College Prep, Reagan High School, and City Forward Collective.

“Having represented organizations in Southeastern Wisconsin for so many years, Tim understands the term, “Midwestern values,” commented Dan McNulty, co-CEO of QPS. His guidance on our board will help us make a real difference in the communities we serve.”
