Ask QPS - How Can I Make Sure Recruiters Call Me?

Oct 12, 2016, 10:36 AM by Jessica Calliari

Once you've applied and interviewed with QPS, getting the call that your recruiter has a position for you is the next thing on your mind. In some cases, our job seekers do leave the interview with a new position, but most open positions require a little more time to ensure that it’s a perfect match on both the job seeker and the company’s sides. While our available positions are constantly changing, there are a few simple things you can do to make sure your recruiter is reaching out to you.

Updated Contact Info

The biggest thing you need to do to make sure your QPS recruiter is contacting you is to make sure your contact information is up to date. If we have an outdated or no longer in service number, our recruiters will not be able to get ahold of you about a potential job opportunity. You can update your contact information online here or call your local branch.

Keep Your Availability + Work History Updated

Another thing you should do is to keep your availability and work history updated. Keeping this information up to date will allow our recruiters to quickly know if an open position may be a fit for you. Often when you have not heard from your recruiter in a few weeks, it is because none of our openings fit the requirements we have on file for you. You can update it online here or call your local branch to update any of your information.

Follow Up with Us

Another big thing you should do to make sure your recruiter is calling you is to follow up with us. If you receive a message from one of our recruiters regarding an available position or something else, follow back up with the branch, even if you are not interested in it. Doing this will show us that you are still searching for a position and taking it seriously, along with giving our recruiters a better idea of the type of position you are interested in. We recommend that you let us know you are still available each week. This can be done by calling the branch or by shooting over an email to show that you are still interested.

Complete All Forms + Information

The final thing that you should do is make sure you have completed all the necessary forms and information we need. Make sure your QPS application is completed and up to date along with the necessary identification information. To check if you have completed the necessary form, you can call your local branch or check online here.

By following up and keeping the lines of communication open, as well as making sure all of your work history and contact information is updated, you have the greatest chance of securing a position with QPS.
