Position Title: Administrative Assistant
Shift: 1st, M-F
QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for an Administratrive Assistant at a company in Onalaska, WI. This is a temp to hire position for 1st shift.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Answer, screen, and route calls - Greet guests and manage facility access - Maintain office supply inventory- Create and promote process improvements for common areas in the facility- Participate in the Team Member Engagement Committee- Prepare for meetings- Collect, sort, and distribute mail- Assist applicants in applying for job opportunities- Rung errands as needed- Special projects as assigned

Position Title: Assembly
Hours: 7am-3:30pm, M-F
QPS Employment Group, in partnership with L.B. White, has a great opportunity available for an Assembly worker at their location in Onalaska, WI. This is a temporary position for 1st shift.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Identify and tag defective parts - Properly package finished goods - Ensure proper quantities of parts are maintained, replenishing parts supplies or notifying appropriate personnel as necessary
Requirements:- Prefers assembly and production experience, but willing to train the right candidate - Good attendance - shows up every day and has reliable transportation - Basic math and computer skills - Good communication skills - Ability to use hand tools including air wrenches, drills, screwdrivers- Ability to manually lift and move materials as required, up to 50 lbs. - Ability to stand for long periods of time (8-10 hour shifts) - Ability to sit, push, pull, bend, lift, walk, and follow directions
Position Title: Audio Visual Installation Technician
QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for an Audio Visual Installation Technician at a company in Onalaska, WI. This is a direct hire position for 1st shift.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Install and repair professional audio, video, theatrical lighting, theatrical stage systems and system components- Serve existing accounts by analyzing work orders, planning daily service schedule, investigating customer complaints, performing system tests, troubleshooting system components, and resolving problems- Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs for each project- Work with Account Manager and Design Team to develop project scope, timeline, budget, goals, deliverables, and required resources- Develop a work breakdown structure to estimate cost and labor required for each task- Provide a project schedule, itemized, with clear tasks to completion- Identify potential hazards or pitfalls and communicate them effectively during the project design phase- Forecast, track, and report key metrics for assigned projects- Effectively manage project scope by ensuring any changes to scope are documented and approved by both customers and Commercial AV Management- Clearly communicate expectations to team members and stakeholders, while maintaining customer/company confidentiality- Track and report on project milestones and provide status reports to Commercial AV Management- Complete a post-project evaluation to determine how well results were achieved- Ensure all project documents are safely archived following project completion- Complete periodic post-project follow-up, in coordination with Account Manager- Keep Commercial AV Systems tools and resources in ideal condition by following operational instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventative maintenance, and arranging repairs- Other duties as assigned by Commercial AV management
Requirements:- 2+ years of field service, or other relevant experience in technical systems installations and service- Associates degree in related field, or equivalent professional experience- Demonstrated electronics troubleshooting experience- Demonstrated computer literacy- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Docs, AutoCAD, and SketchUp- Knowledge of industry-specific applications (SMAART, EASE, Etc.) are a plus
Position Title: Sheet Metal
Shift: Weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
QPS Employment Group, in partnership with L.B. White, has a great opportunity available for a Sheet Metal position at their location in Onalaska, WI. This is a temporary position for weekend shift.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Load and operate assigned machine, moving parts to required stop and cycling equipment (Punch Presses, Brake Presses, CNC equipment)- Unload parts from machine and stack, or move parts directly to secondary operation or staging area- Check conformance of parts to blueprint specifications knowledge of machine controls and ability to operate machine following all safety instructions - Read blueprints and use tape measure, square, micrometer, slide caliper and angle gauge
