Position Title: Blow Molder
Shift: 2nd, 3rd
QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Blow Molder at a company in Gurnee, IL. This is a temp to hire position for 2nd or 3rd shift.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Know and follow all of the Company’s safety rules, such as safe work practices and standard operating procedures- Serve as a good role model to employees for safe work practices and behavior by conducting yourself professionally, keeping in mind your own safety and the safety of others- Learn and master all necessary areas of the quality system- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP)- Review all available criteria for the given assignment to ensure awareness and compliance with requirements including part specific production order requirements and visual standards- Perform specific deflashing and assembly of Blow Molded Case- Perform continuous visual verification activities per the available Standards and Customer Approved parts- Contact Quality regarding part acceptance issues or any product or process questions/concerns- Maintain the Part Weight Log and Scrap Tally sheet- Place all scrap in grinder (except for contaminated parts)- Pack manufactured items according to Visual Work Instructions- Move finished product to staging area as needed- Participate in proper Housekeeping practices and general clean-up of the work area- Inform Material Handler when supplies for the job are running low- Return all standard and part specific documentation to its designated area- Complete all necessary paperwork to clearly indicate the status of the specific assignment- Communicate the status of the operation to the next shift- Any other duties as assigned
Requirements:- High School Diploma or equivalent is required - One to three months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate the English language in a proficient manner- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situationsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
