"I would like to commend QPS for the exceptional service you provided me. The timing coincided perfectly with my scheduled move from St. Louis, MO back to Milwaukee. I was truly appreciative of your follow-up communications during my interim probationary period, which confirmed my job satisfaction."
Normally the holidays are a time for reflection and thanks. I have to be honest: they came and went so fast for me this year that they were merely a blip. Perhaps I've been watching too much HGTV or Lifetime and I'm going soft, but I have found myself feeling much more appreciative of everyone and everything around me now. It could certainly be worse for all of us. Please remember that we live in the greatest country in the world.
Times are currently tough for all and getting tougher. I talk to people for a living, and I haven't heard much good news from anyone. I have begun to put more value on every conversation I have had. Not that I didn't value them in the past, but I certainly took some for granted. My livelihood is dependent on how many successful relationships I can build. I want to urge you to do the same no matter what you do for a living. This ties in to a previous post of mine....continue to build your bridges. We all need each other to turn things around. Be nice to people. Help people. Let others help you.
Throwing a fit to get what you want may have worked when you were two. It doesn't get you very far in your adult life or a slow economy. There are jobs out there, but there are also twice as many people applying for them. I'm just guessing, but I think the nice people will probably be first in line to be hired.
Play nice. Pay it forward. If you're in need, someone might just help.
