With temporary employment on an eight-month rise, more than 2 million Americans are now working on a contract basis for companies that need more help but aren't ready to make a permanent commitment.
Eventually, however, many of those companies will be hiring. And their temp employees could be first in line if they take advantage of their opportunities now.
