Workload on the rise for temp workers

After months of sporadic activity, temporary agencies are finally seeing a continued upswing in orders from companies that need to get back to work but aren't ready to commit to full-time hires.
Wisconsin-based staffing firm QPS Employment Group hit an all-time high in billable hours in May, up 51 percent from the same period a year ago. Regional Vice President Jim Roy said the company mostly serves manufacturing companies, who have been reporting increased orders and production.
